The Sacramento Running Association, the same organization that hosts the California International Marathon (the CIM), brings to you the 4th Annual Gold Rush Ultra! Registration is OPEN!
The 2016 course has a new start location (at Skunk Hollow) and now begins on a scenic 8+ mile lollipop loop on the scenic Darrington Trail. After returning to Skunk Hollow, it will follow the rugged and historic gold miner routes on mostly technical, single-track trails, all within the scenic Sierra foothills.
The Gold Rush 50k is perfectly timed for runners training for the summer 100-milers including Western States, Tahoe Rim Trail, and Leadville. If you are looking for your next challenge after the CIM this is your event. With an 8.5-hour cut-off (9 hours for early starters) and nine well-stocked aid stations no more than 4.5 miles apart, this is a great, beginner-friendly ultra.
