The Sacramento Running Association, the same organization that hosts the California International Marathon (CIM), brings to you the 3rd Annual Gold Rush Ultra!

The 2016 event will be run on a similar course to the 2015 edition of the race. It will be a point to point race starting in Cronan Ranch Regional Park and end in Historic Folsom, California, 30 miles northeast of Sacramento. It features 2,383’ of elevation gain and 3,101’ of descent and will follow the rugged and historic gold miner routes on mostly technical, single-track trails, all within the scenic Sierra foothills.

The Gold Rush 50k is perfectly timed for runners training for the summer 100-milers including Western States, Tahoe Rim Trail, and Leadville. If you are looking for your next challenge after the CIM this is your event. With an 8-hour cut-off and nine well-stocked aid stations no more than 4.5 miles apart, this is a great, beginner-friendly ultra.

Eureka! Challenge yourself with this ultra through the historic Sierra Foothills!
